Sean Parnell & South County

There’s over 2,131 miles between Petaluma and Clarksdale, Mississippi. Clarksdale is generally recognized as a major historical epicenter for the origin of blues music, and it’s possible that some of the essence of those roots have been lost in transit over the years. Sean “Mudcat” Parnell is a 42-year-old blues harmonica player from Petaluma, one of the comparatively younger blues players north of the Golden Gate Bridge. He draws influence from many of the greats including Paul Butterfield, Norton Buffalo, and Little Walter.
